This is a Special Edition guitar, signed by C.F. Martin IV and by John Carter Cash.

It is a facsimile of the black D-35 Custom that Cash played for ca. 20 years, and was the guitar most often associated with him.

Obviously, this one is also all black, but beneath that black gloss finish lies an Englemann spruce top with forward-shifted, scalloped, 1/4-inch bracing, giving this guitar tremendous sound.

With its all-black, Geib style hardshell case, it lists at $5599.

	As mentioned, it's an all-black guitar (which, owing to its gloss finish, makes it a challenge to photograph!). Beneath the gloss finish of the back and sides lies East Indian rosewood.			The classic Martin peghead has multiple binding, which continues as a fingerboard binding.
	The inlay in the ebony fingerboard comprises small, abalone stars bordered by MOP.			The tuners are Grover Rotomatic brand, as were used on Mr. Cash's custom D-35.
	A facsimile of Johnny Cash's signature is inlaid at the 20th fret. Note John Carter Cash and C.F. Martin IV have signed the label. Note also the abalone purfling, which is striking against the black finish.			The body is bound with multiple black and white Boltaron, and the 3-piece back has very nice wooden marquetry separating its rosewood sections.
