This handsome and simple instrument has Lo's "FH" 24.6 inch scale on has "Standard" banjo. It has a mahogany neck made using a 3-piece construction. It has no inlays in its scooped, rosewood fingerboard, though it does have side marker dots.

The peghead has handsome rosewood overlay, and is without any other adornment. Planetary tuners with black buttons are affixed.

Its 12-inch pot is made of rosewood blocks and features a very substantial rolled brass tone ring.

Standard J "Hybrid" Fretless 12-inch
This banjo combines features from a couple of Lo's usual banjos,and is thus a "hybrid." It has a one-piece, mahogany neck with a scooped, fretless, rosewood fingerboard. The peghead also has a rosewood overlay, and a abalone and MOP cardinal inlay (Lo's native N.C. State Bird). The peghead has planetary tuners with black button, while the 5th string tuner is also geared and has a black button.

Its 12-inch pot is made of rosewood blocks and features a hefty rolled brass tone ring.

It's set up with a Renaissance head and a No-Knot tailpiece, and has a great old-time sound!
